08/10 updated review.
I just had my VCG replaced by NSMW and they did a fantastic job. I really appreciate that they let me know when i can defer maintenance and when its needed. Glad they do my oil change every 6 mths, so they can spot any potential issues that would be costly to deal with later down the road. Best Indy shop in MA, hands down. Shout out to Brad & Chris at the front desk for exceptional customer service.

Thank you to James and the entire crew at NSMW for getting my e90 back on the road. Appreciate the excellent recommendation on tires, the speed of getting an appt., all the work performed. The loaner was fantastic, allowed me to keep my day as planned. Car runs like new, steering is perfect after alignment, tires feel great, I couldn’t be happier. Excellent customer service @ NSMW, as always. Best shop in greater Boston area, no contest.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with North Shore Motor Werks. The team is knowledgeable, honest, and always takes the time to explain what my car needs without trying to sell me on things it doesn’t. The quality of their work is excellent, and I really appreciate having a local shop I can trust. Professional, reliable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend!

I brought my car in last minute and they squeezed me in to help get it resolved before I shipped it to South Carolina. The techs are very knowledgeable and know how to troubleshoot difficult problems. The folks at the front desk were helpful and moved things around to get me taken care of. I would recommend them for any BMW service since they have the skillset.

This group made me feel a lot more confident of keeping my car longer and I will get another German car knowing this crew got me covered.
I brought my 2016 Audi A6 in for a second opinion after getting a suspension quote from the Audi dealership. Their inspection was extremely thorough and easy to understand. The report included plenty of photos along with detailed explanations of what they found.
What I appreciated most was that they didn’t try to sell me everything. I spoke with the service manager on the phone, and he patiently answered all of my questions, explained what actually needed to be fixed, what could wait, and why. At one point I even asked about measuring the rotor runout, and he honestly told me he didn’t think it was worth spending money on because the technician was already confident the rotors needed replacement based on their inspection and road test. I really appreciated that level of honesty.
Communication throughout the process was excellent. They are the experts in German cars, use OEM parts, and had everything repaired by the next day. After replacing the front control arms, front rotors, brake fluid, and performing the alignment, the car feels like 17 again!
Finding an honest German repair shop isn’t always easy, but I definitely feel comfortable bringing my car back here in the future. Thanks again to the whole team!

I had a PPI done at this place before buying a car from out of town. Seemed reputable. This is was the first part of their findings: “VEHICLE IS OVERALL PRETTY CLEAN. COMMON RUSTY UNDERCARRIAGE FOR THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE. NO OIL LEAKS FOUND. POWER STEERING SYSTEM HAS ALL BEEN REPLACED.
SUSPENSION COMPONENTS LOOK GOOD AS WELL.” You would think from that statement that the car is pretty good shape right? The car had literal structural holes and splitting subframe mounts. Take a look for yourself in the pictures I posted. Absolutely no chance was this car “overall pretty clean”. Do NOT trust these guys for a PPI at all.

Replaced all 4 tires on my M5, with a high-speed balance and alignment done. The whole team was a pleasure to work with, very friendly and professional. I also appreciated the extra care they took by wrapping my tire and placing it carefully in the car since my interior is all white. Highly recommend if you looking for a great shop to work with.

So this review is coming from someone who’s always been highly skeptical of bringing my car to shops and prefers to DIY most services.
I did a fair amount of research before picking a shop to take my car to and ultimately decided on Northshore Motor Werks because of their excellent reputation, which I can now see was well earned.
Not only is their customer service top tier and was the staff super personable, but it was clear the team knows what they’re talking about. What really stood out to me was the team went above and beyond to explain to me what the car needed, why it was needed, and what the service entailed.
The part prices were fair as it gets as well. A lot of shops charge significant mark ups on parts but when I checked, all their part prices were within a few dollars of what I’d be able to buy them for myself and came warrantied. The cherry on top was them having loaner cars available for customers. Not a lot of shops offer that!
I can truly say my experience with North Shore Motor Werks was nothing but positive. Again as someone who’s highly skeptical of letting anyone else handle my car, it’s a huge peace of mind knowing I found a shop that’s diligent and trustworthy.
Safe to say North Shore Motor Werks made a lifetime customer out of me and that I’ll be referring anyone I know that needs work done straight to Motor Werks!

These guys are the best. I have a higher mileage s85 m5 and they are always the speediest and most reliable way to get stuff fixed. You’re never overcharged and you’re always dealing with good honest professionals that know what they are doing. The receipts I’ve spent speak for themselves. Always a cool and reliable group of guys that’s will always have my business.

Very efficient place, I was able to drop off the vehicle over the weekend and it was done in one day! The drop off box is very convenient for those who are at work after open hours. The car issue I had was fixed and is properly working now. I highly recommend this shop especially for bmws.

North Shore Motor Werks fixed an oil leak on our newly purchased 2017 BMW 3 series. The shop accurately diagnosed all the issues and quickly performed the repairs. Super trustworthy business that goes above and beyond! I feel so lucky to have the shop close by!

I have nothing but praise for this auto repair business. They do not pressure you to approve their repair quote. My quote was much more than I expected, especially after having the vehicle looked at 6 months ago. They let me know what was urgently needed and what could be deferred. The quality of their work is outstanding. My Mercedes runs and drives as if it was brand new. I will be returning there for all future work.

The team was incredibly thorough and I am so happy I found this place! They took great care of my Porsche. I don’t just let anyone handle my baby! They had great drinks and coffee in the waiting area and the guys were so easy to talk to. Don’t think twice. Go get your car serviced by these guys and don’t waste your money at the crazy dealerships.
